Coming from a crafty home, I was often cross stitching with my mom and grandmother. There was something so scientific about counting out the rows and finding the exact color the pattern called for. Recently I’ve been stitching on alternative pieces. While I love to stitch on paper and prints fresh off our press, I find stretched canvas to be so forgiving and fun. I taught an embroidery on canvas class recently with two local nonprofits recently. I enjoyed working with Paint Love and Jesse’s House so much, I thought I’d work on a little DIY for you!
